Here we cover how to manage your DKIM and SPF configuration when sending mail with Microsoft Exchange in Microsoft 365.

DKIM

How to set up DKIM signing

  1. Log in to your Microsoft 365 admin account at admin.cloud.microsoft.

  2. In the side pane on the left, click on "Show all," then "Settings" and finally on "Domains." Select the domain you want to set up DKIM for and click on "Manage DNS."

  3. Choose "Add your own DNS records" if asked and press "Continue." On the "Add DNS records" page, scroll down, click on "Advanced options," and check "DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)." Expand "CNAME Records (2)" that appeared below the checkbox.

  4. Set up the two CNAME records shown with your DNS provider and click "Continue" to let Microsoft confirm your changes. Once confirmed, Microsoft will now start siging outgoing mail with DKIM.

SPF

Here's an example SPF record to be used with Microsoft 365:
